After having missed out at a previous auction, the dream of buying a new home in what was becoming an increasingly competitive and expensive marketplace seemed to remain just that, a dream. The house came in well below the ceiling I had given you to bid towards and I believe we did not pay more than we should have on the day. Needless to say, I was glad that you were on my side.
